how to attract followers

In this blog, I think it tells us that if we want more followers, actually, we do not need to follow many people. Following more people doesn’t have causality with being followed by more people. Follow people who are worth following. We should be active in twitter to attract more followers since “about 50 percent of all tweets that a random person on Twitter receives on any given day come from just 20,000 users”. Third, in order to attract more people, we should tweet something interesting. In the blog, Halpern has many followers because he has a brand of “Shit My Dad Says” to draw people’s attention. Even if he does it fifty times a year, there are still many followers of him. If you are famous enough, there may be many followers on your twitter, like the story the fake Steve Levitt. It’s interesting to see that many famous people are followed even if they just put one tweet in twitter while some people tweet thousands of times but they get less.

Editing an article in Wikipedia

I am editing the website about "University Town (Chashan)"

This is the introduction of "University Town (Chashan)". But it is not complete since the most important place Business Center is not mentioned at all. Therefore, I provided the website with basic information about Business Center I know.
The link is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_Town_%28Chashan%29

my infographic

My TEDTalk is How to Make Work-Life Balance Work by Nigel Marsh.
Outline
a.       Begin with the advice that St. Benedict gave his rather startled followers in the fifth century and his own experience of trying work-life balance.
b.      State the first observation out of four that if society's to make any progress on this issue, we need an honest debate.
c.       State the second observation that we need to face the truth that governments and corporations aren't going to solve this issue for us.
d.      The third observation is we have to be careful with the time frame that we choose upon which to judge our balance.
e.       A fourth observation: We need to approach balance in a balanced way. He talks about his friend’s story and his interaction with his son to show that small things really matter.
f.       He concludes his speech by giving a new definition of success.
This is my model infographic

I think the trend of these infographic is useful for me to apply my content to it and show my ideas. So I will use the trend. As for the ground, I think it's not useful for my content. I will innovate my characters in the infographic. One main character is a good way to illustrate.

The model can show my content in a dynamic way and to illustrate my content more specifically. The speaker of the TEDTalk I chose tells us his four observations about how to make life work balanced, I think  these observations are in a dynamic way.And also the entire infographic of mine is like a top, which shows the idea of balance.
Until this time, I don't "steal" other infographics but I'm not sure if I will in the near future.

Entry #9 How to use twitter bots in narrative

In my eyes, there are three ways for Twitter bots to be used in the stories to generate conflict. First, we can use Twitter bots at first to cause a conflict. Just like the "Pace Picante Salsa" story, Mike Leidtke pretended to be a robot because he liked all tweets that contained key terms rather than looked at the content of others’ tweets. The conflict begins with the twitter bots, which makes the story interesting and attractive.
Also, we can put Twitter bots in the middle of the conflict to intensify it. Suppose that A is angry with B and they have an argument. During this time, what if B let the Twitter bot talk with a casual attitude to ignore what A is saying? I guess A must be extremely angry and thus the conflict must be stressed. In this way, more people will follow the story.
Third, we can use Twitter bots to ease the former conflict and generate latter conflict. The story can end with the Twitter bots talking about the subject all the time and make people think what will go on thus it can fool more and more people.

Entry #8 Read and Respond to Franchi’s “Infographic Thinking” workshop

In this society, infographic as a new born thing has developed very fast and with the development, infographic can handle more and more complex issues. Now the workshops about infographic thinking are popular. In my eyes, infographic will become more powerful in the near future. As it says in this article, “the demand on our creativity to visually convey ideas and meaning has increased proportionally”. It is time for us to care about creativity rather than just record or translate. We need to clarify something with the help of infographic. In addition, we should draw people’s attention and have interaction with them with a complex and deep meaning of the infographic. Thus, we should activate our brain to think actively and creatively.
According to the objectives, I think the course understands the infographic correctly since the infographic really helps us to understand the reality well. Nowadays, infographic has been applied to several other areas such scientific visualization, education and so on. It has a larger influence.
Through the infographic in this article, the workshop really attracts me very much. I see the great works and the images of working in a team. Everyone takes part in discussion actively. But I wonder it’s the process of gather group members’ ideas, do they really learn how to develop creativity of infographic in this workshop?
